Kids Golf & Fun Camp
“Golf is fun” – during the summer holidays 2020 kids will once again have the possibility to playfully learn how to swing a golf club on our 9-hole course. The holiday week in German language will be rounded off by a child-friendly entertainment program and a fun tournament with attractive prizes. Apart from this, parents are invited to participate in an adult golf course, in order to learn how to golf and get their proficiency certificate (“Platzreife”). The perfect family holiday, combining golf and fun for young and old.
Hiking
The Hohe Tauern National Park is the largest national park in Central Europe, and attracts visitors with its untouched nature and countless hiking trails: themed hiking trails, walking paths in the valley, a variety of hiking trails through the alpine pasture region, or high-altitude trekking tours to closely take in the fascinating scenery of the Alpine mountains. You will be enchanted by lush green mountain lakes, glacial streams and magnificent waterfalls, as well as the “Almrosenblüte”, one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the Alpine region.
Summer activities
East Tyrol is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts. Water sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to tackle wild waves when canoeing or rafting, and the natural rock climbing garden – located not far from our partner Adventurepark – is a very rewarding place for passionate climbers. The Defereggental Hotel & Resort offers city bikes as well as e-bikes and mountain bikes for guests to rent. Unforgettable tours are awaiting you... Furthermore, you are welcome to play tennis, badminton, indoor golf and table tennis.
Trips and excursions
Lake Tristacher is a natural gem at the foot of the Lienzer Dolomites, and an excursion to the “Staller Sattel”, the mountain pass connecting the Defereggental (East Tyrol) with the Antholzertal (South Tyrol), is definitely worth a visit – why not in a Porsche Cabriolet? Learn about the history of the Defereggen water with healing properties in St. Jakob during a guided tour, or retrace the steps of the Romans in the former settlement of Aguntum in Dölsach.
